We’re breaking the mould (hopefully not actually, they’re not that cheap) by combining craft, music and drag… and drinks and brunch, but who’s counting.

Come and enjoy a hilarious, crafty drag brunch with a sustainable twist; learn to use jesmonite to create a gorgeous marbled pot or tray for your home! Local drag legend Heather Duster will be guiding the hilarities, alongside death drop queen Kikiara, while Signe Lydersen teaches you the necessary jesmonite skills.

Meet new people and learn a fantastic new craft skill; think of jesmonite as the eco-lovechild of concrete and clay - but even more versatile. Your piece will be ready to take home on the day (perfect for the impatient crafter!)

The superb Supernature will be creating a carefully curated brunch menu for the event (brunch is not included, so you can choose from their delicious options on the day).

During the workshop, you will learn all the skills required to:
- measure, mix and cast liquid and powder jesmonite into a mould
- effortlessly master marbling techniques
- seal and finish your piece
You will have the choice to create either a pen, a plant pot or an oval tray.

No experience required.
The workshop is for everyone (over 18).

Signe

Designer + Illustrator Signe creates immersive exhibitions, dynamic brands, eye-catching illustrations, impactful print + digital design. She is a passionate maker of jesmonite items, with her signature terrazzo style.

Signe designed much of Curious’ visual brand, including the festival programme.

Heather Duster

Heather Duster is self titled Queen of Clean! Sweeping the nation with her polished performances she'll wipe the floor and leave you wanting more! Her sparkling singing voice landed her in the final of The Gold Rush season 3 and she's since been sweeping stages across London and the UK. She has performed at venues such as The Royal Vauxhall Tavern, The Tate Modern, Google head office, Mighty Hoopla Festival and many more! She has hosted Hastings Pride, Queer on the Pier and a year-long residency at The Nest (Hastings Old town).
