DAISY DOES LINO
Daisy Does Lino was born out of a self-taught practice of lino cutting and printing since 2021.
“My work often centres around themes of ecology, exploring topics of mental health, or sometimes just weird dreams/ideas that pop into my head that I’m just too curious not to print and see the result of!”
Daisy is conscious about considering the roots of all the materials she uses, and as a result the lino, paper and packaging used are entirely plastic free, plant based, and fully biodegradable.
She is continuously exploring how we work with our natural environments to create work that connects and respects our wider ecosystem and redirects attention and appreciation back towards it.
“I’m a big fan of mycology, and keep coming back to mushrooms in my work.
Understanding fungi was so foundational to the start of my interest in wider ecology.
My favourite thing they’ve made me think about so far is recognising death and decomposition as a source of life,
and understanding that transformation as something healthy and natural, not something to be feared.”
